How to make Cheesy Broccoli Bites
- Prep your broccoli – Cut your broccoli into florets.
- Coat the broccoli – Using three bowls, one for dry ingredients, one for wet ingredients and one for cheese – coat your broccoli in dry, wet then cheese.
- Bake – Lay the broccoli out on a baking sheet and bake for 20 mins.
- Allow to cool for a minute, serve and enjoy!

Variations
I used a Mexican cheese blend but you could go for Italian too or keep it simple with some sharp cheddar. Blue cheese also works a dream with broccoli, it’s tangy richness goes so well with this vibrant veggie.
You can also give the baked broccoli bites a spicy kick with some chili flakes, but add the flakes near the end of the bake, to avoid them burning.
Storing these Cheesy Broccoli Bites
You can, just cool then place in an airtight container. For quick reheating, use the microwave, or you can reheat in the oven. These Baked Broccoli Bites also can also be frozen, although they can lose their texture somewhat. Thaw then reheat at 180C/350F for about 5 minutes.

Cheesy Broccoli Bites
Ingredients
- 2 large heads of broccoli, cut into florets
- 1 cup Mexican blend cheese
- 2 large eggs, whisked
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 3/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- ½ tsp. salt
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees F
- Cut broccoli into floret pieces.
- You are doing to need 3 bowls. In one you will have the flour mixture, which is the flour and spices. In a second bowl the whisked eggs and in the third bowl, the cheese.
- Coat a piece of broccoli first with the flour mixture, then the egg wash and then the cheese.
- Line a half sheet pan with parchment paper and place the broccoli florets on it, leaving some space between the florets.
- Bake in the oven on the middle rack for 20 minutes or until the cheese is nice and golden. Ovens vary so use your own judgement.
- Remove from the oven, let it cool for a minute or so before serving.
