  • Prep the fish – Pat the tilapia dry and arrange on a baking tray.

Spicy Lemon Garlic Baked Tilapia

This Baked Tilapia recipe serves up flaky, tender and super flavorful fish. Coated in a spicy, sweet and zesty marinade – delicious!

Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes
Servings: 6 servings

Ingredients 

  • 6 pieces tilapia fillet
  • 2 large lemons, juiced
  • 1 tsp black pepper, freshly cracked
  • 1/2 tsp salt, taste before adding
  • 3 tbsps. olive oil
  • 2 tbsps. honey sriracha seasoning, used McCormick
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • 4-6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2-3 tbsps. fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1-2 whole chili peppers, optional, for garnishing
  • lemon wedges, optional, for garnishing

Instructions 

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  • Pat the tilapia fillets dry with a paper towel.
  • Line a baking tray with aluminum foil and arrange the fillets.
  • In a bowl, mix the remainder of the ingredients together to make the marinade.
  • Pour the marinade over on the tilapia. You can now arrange some of the lemon and chili peppers for garnishing on the tray around the tilapias or do it after baking.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, depending on your oven.
  • Remove and garnish with more fresh cilantro if needed before serving.
