- BBQ sauce: Select your favorite brand of barbecue sauce.
- Ketchup: Use regular or low sugar ketchup.
- Honey: Honey helps to thicken and sweeten the sauce. Substitute real maple syrup if desired.
- Chopped Parsley: to garnish.
How To Make BBQ Chicken Bites
- Prepare the equipment. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a parchment over a baking sheet and keep it aside.
- Season the chicken. Season the chicken pieces with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix it well and set it aside.
- Dredge the chicken. In a medium bowl, place the flour, and in another bowl, whisk the eggs with milk and keep it aside. Dredge the chicken pieces first in the flour, then in the egg mixture, and then back to the flour until well coated.
- Bake the chicken. Arrange the chicken pieces on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 18-20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and slightly golden by flipping the chicken halfway through.
- Prepare the sauce. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, prepare the sauce by combining BBQ sauce, ketchup and honey. Allow the sauce to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Sauce the chicken and serve. Once the chicken bites are out of the oven, place the chicken in a large bowl and pour the prepared sauce over it and toss until the sauce is evenly coated. Garnish the chicken bites with fresh parsley and serve with celery along the sides.
