Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bake zucchini fries in the oven?

Yes! These zucchini sticks can be baked and will still turn out pretty crispy. To bake in the oven, simply place the prepared zucchini on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake at 425 degrees F for 25-30 minutes or until the zucchini fries are crispy and golden.

Do you peel zucchini for zucchini fries?

Zucchini skin is entirely edible and full of nutrients, so there is no need to peel zucchini unless you prefer to. Skipping this step will save you lots of time and effort.

Are zucchini fries healthier than french fries?

Zucchini is low in carbohydrates, high in fiber and has a great mild flavor. Since these fries are cooked with just a tiny amount of oil, they are a healthy alternative to deep-fried french fries. You can make Keto zucchini fries by swapping the flour for almond flour and using crushed pork rinds instead of panko.

How do I store and reheat Air Fryer Zucchini Sticks?

These zucchini fries are best eaten right away as the coating can become soggy. If needed, they can be refrigerated for several days and reheated in the air fryer for 3-4 minutes or until warmed through.

Can I freeze crispy zucchini fries?

Place zucchini fries on a baking sheet and flash freeze for about 30 minutes. Transfer to a freezer bag and freeze for up to three months. To heat, do not thaw! Place directly in the air fryer and heat until hot and crispy.

What to serve with zucchini sticks air fryer?

Zucchini sticks are the perfect starter or side dish for meals like Homemade Burgers, Fried Chicken Sandwich, or Oven Baked Roasted Whole Chicken.
