Frequently Asked Questions
Thyme, sage and rosemary are my favorite herbs to serve with this creamy herbed chicken, but you could also use oregano, tarragon, basil and marjoram.
The flavor of fresh herbs is unmatched, so we certainly recommend fresh herbs. You can use dried herbs, but they are often more potent, so you will want to reduce the amount of fresh herbs to 1 ½ teaspoons.
Heavy whipping cream will give you the creamiest sauce. If desired, you can use half and half or whole milk, but the sauce will be thinner and not as creamy.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat in a skillet or the microwave. Reheat slowly and gently, so the sauce stays creamy and the chicken doesn’t become rubbery.
You can season and brown the chicken breast and freeze, but cream sauces don’t hold up well to freezing. We recommend that you make a fresh creamy herb sauce for chicken.

I’ve made countless dinners from recipes I’ve found online. This is the first I’ve ever taken the time to review. Only had about an hour to prep and make it before needing to pick up my daughter from practice. The entire family said this was in their top 3 chicken dinners I’ve ever made. Since the chicken and sauce is made on the stovetop, that left room in the oven for some quick veggies on a sheet pan (red & yellow potatoes, carrots, and onions). Also threw some egg noodles on the side as a base for that delightful sauce. Friggin awesome and so quick! It annoys me when people change a perfectly good recipe but yeah yeah I did it too…added a squeeze of lemon juice to the sauce because a lemon was sitting out smiling at me and a gave him some lovin squeezes. As for the fresh herbs I went all in and did the rosemary, thyme, and sage. Great easy recipe with extra sauce for the goodies in the side. Heck yes love it! Thank you!
Happy to hear you enjoyed the recipe Quinn. Thanks for the review.
