Make this Blueberry Smoothie Recipe with Mint for a delicious and refreshing breakfast on-the-go!  Just 5 ingredients are blended together to create a smooth and creamy drink loaded with blueberries, sweetened with honey, and brightened with fresh mint!

Blueberry Mint Smoothie

BLUEBERRY SMOOTHIE WITH FRESH MINT

A delicious breakfast doesn’t have to take a lot of time to create.  In fact, just 5 minutes will give you a wonderful smoothie that is packed with the fresh taste of blueberries and mint, and plenty of healthy protein.  This recipe is a perfect option for those who are short on time but still want nutrition to start the day.

With the creamy, almost milkshake texture, a smoothie can also be a great dessert that even kids will be begging you to make on a regular basis.  I love keeping berries in the freezer so I can whip up this smoothie any morning when things are busy and I want a tasty but easy meal to start my day.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF BLUEBERRIES?

Aside from being a perfectly tart but sweet fruit, blueberries are full of antioxidants.  They are known to be a great addition to your diet for lowering cholesterol and helping to prevent heart diseases.  Loaded with Vitamin C, Vitamin B6, fiber, potassium, and folate make them one of nature’s best resources for vitamins you need for a healthy body.

Blueberries are low in calories, high in nutrients, and perfect for adding to a smoothie to add flavor, texture, and health benefits!  With all of the good health included in blueberries, you can indulge in them with zero guilt.

CAN I USE REGULAR YOGURT IN THIS SMOOTHIE?

I prefer using Greek yogurt in smoothies because it is so high in protein.  If you want added protein but don’t like the taste or texture of protein powders, then this is a great solution. That said if you don’t care for the texture or flavor of Greek yogurt, you can, of course, add in a traditional yogurt for this recipe.  Just make note that the nutritional information will change, and won’t provide as much protein.

For added flavor, you can use a blueberry flavored yogurt in this recipe if you prefer.  It may change some of the nutritional information, so remember to make note of that as well when calculating this into your dietary plan.

CAN I MAKE THIS INTO A FREEZER SMOOTHIE PACKET?

Since this smoothie is really just berries, yogurt, and mint, you don’t really need a smoothie packet to have this on hand.  The yogurt would need to be fresh in your refrigerator rather than frozen.  However, you could portion out berries and mint leaves and freeze those in packets if needed.  I tend to just make them fresh when wanted, but if you need to cut out a bit of the prep, smoothie packs for the freezer can be beneficial.

HOW TO MAKE A BLUEBERRY SMOOTHIE WITH MINT

This recipe is so easy your kids can make it with no struggle!  All you have to do is measure and add the ingredients to your high-powered blender and pulse until smooth.  If you want to add extra ice cubes to the mixture to thicken it some, you can do so.  Truly, one of the easiest recipes you can make for a smoothie or breakfast.

Top with a fresh mint leave and a couple of whole berries to complete the smoothie.
