Fruits are nature’s candy, and having so many varieties in one bowl is like heaven! This Fruit Salad is so fresh and flavorful, and when I make it I can’t stop eating it. It has a combination of my favorite fruit and it’s super delicious.
HOW TO MAKE THE FRUIT SALAD:
You have to decide which fruits are your most favorite. You don’t want to be picking out fruits you don’t like out of the fruit salad bowl. I am very picky and I find that the combination I use work out perfectly for my family! I do love tropical fruits more than other fruits, so if they are in season, they will be in the salad.
WHAT KIND OF FRUITS ARE IN THIS FRUIT SALAD:
I used Fuji Apple, Strawberry, Fresh Pineapple, Kiwi, Blueberry, Red Grapes, Banana and Peach. Initially I had planned to use mangoes instead of peaches because I LOVE mangoes. But the mangoes I bought turned out to be a bit sour for some reason and I didn’t want that to ruin the fruit salad. I do try out the fruits that may be a little tarty before I add them into the fruit salad. It’s important to have sweet fruits to get the best flavors out of the salad. In the end, it’s a lot of work to cut up all those fruits and you want to enjoy it.
I do however recommend that you do not add cantaloupes or honeydew because their flavor is too strong compared to the other fruits, and it might ruin the whole flavor of the fruit salad. You can cut some and place them on the side to add in your bowl after you serve it.
DRESSING THE FRUIT SALAD:
This bring the best out of the salad. You will need to fresh squeeze some oranges. Make sure the oranges are sweet enough. I also add two other ingredients to the dressing and those are honey and orange blossoms water. The flavor of the orange blossoms water is AMAZING in this fruit salad. It’s sold online and in many oriental grocery store. You can however not add it if you feel like it’s impossible for you to find but I highly recommend it.
I serve this salad mostly after food as dessert. You can make this fruit salad anytime during the year with whatever fruits you have in season. It’s very kid friendly, even for picky kids. The combination of all the beautiful colors makes it very appealing to them. As always, I would love to see your delicious recreations so please tag me on my INSTAGRAM.
