Frequently Asked Questions
Cut a potato in half lengthwise. Cut each half in half to divide the potato into 4 quarters. You can then cut each quarter in half or into thirds to make 8-12 wedges per potato.
Russet potatoes are large and sturdy, so they are best for making potato wedges. They crisp up nicely, so you will have that crunchy exterior you crave. Waxy potatoes such as red, white and yellow potatoes can be used but they will not be as crispy and may take a bit longer to cook.
The cooking time will vary slightly depending on how thick you cut the wedges. 15 minutes is a great starting point, and the potatoes should pierce easily with the tip of a knife. You can add additional time as needed to cook them through and make them extra crispy.
Parmesan potato wedges also bake beautifully. Preheat the oven to 435 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with the prepared potato wedges and cook for 15 minutes. Flip and cook for 15 more minutes or until crispy.
Leftover air fryer potato wedges can be kept in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days. The potatoes will become soggy but can be reheated and crisped in a 400 degrees F air fryer for several minutes until warmed through.
Leftover fries can be frozen for several months. For best results, thaw them before reheating them in the air fryer.
