  • Chicken Broth – You can also use vegetable broth or even water if you prefer. 
  • Heavy Cream – While you can substitute half and half, the sauce will not be as creamy. 
  • Seasoning –  Combine dried Italian seasonings, crushed red chili flakes, kosher salt and freshly ground pepper.

For meat sauce

  • Olive Oil – Use your favorite light, neutral-flavored oil. 
  • Aromatics – Saute minced garlic and chopped yellow onion.
  • Chicken – Use lean ground chicken or substitute with ground beef or Italian sausage. 
  • Seasoning – Season well with kosher salt and freshly ground pepper.
  • Spaghetti Sauce – Use your favorite spaghetti sauce or use canned tomato sauce. 
  • Cheese – Use freshly shredded mozzarella cheese.

How To Make Spaghetti Alfredo

  • Prepare the equipment. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a 9X13 baking dish with cooking spray and set it aside.
  • Cook the pasta. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions. Drain the water and set it aside to use later.

  • Prepare the Alfredo sauce. Heat a large skillet over medium heat, and add butter. Once the butter is melted, sprinkle the flour and cook for a minute. Slowly pour the chicken stock and heavy cream. Cook until the sauce begins to thicken for 4-5 minutes. Season the sauce with Italian seasonings, red chili flakes, salt, and ground pepper.

Ingredients 

For spaghetti

  • 1 lb dried spaghetti
  • Water, to cook spaghetti

For Alfredo Sauce

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasonings
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red chili flakes
  • ½ teaspoon salt
