When it comes to Tacos, you can never go wrong! We love having tacos at our house. These Southwest Chicken Tacos are a game changer for your taco Tuesday menu! They are so flavorful and made with delicious spices and sauce that you will absolutely love!
PRODUCTS USED TO MAKE THE SOUTHWEST CHICKEN TACOS
This week I made Southwest Chicken Tacos for my family. Using Ortega® products always makes things a lot easier. I love their taco seasoning, which has 40% less sodium, their delicious creamy Flavor Craver Taco Sauce and Taco Ranch, one of the best I have tried (seriously amazing even with salads and sandwiches), and not to forget their super crunchy taco shells. Imagine the sound…Crunch… Crunch…. Crunch…:)
Ortega offers a wide variety of taco shells. I used the yellow corn for this recipe. They have other forms of shells like Bakeable Tortilla Bowl Kits and Fiesta Flats. They also have a taco sauce which is super delish. We love using them at our house. You can find them at your local Walmart Stores.
HOW TO MAKE THE SOUTHWEST CHICKEN TACOS
Well the first thing I did was season the chicken breasts with the Ortega Taco Seasoning. You just rub it on both sides and either pan sear them in a cast iron or grill them in the oven or on an outdoor grill. Once they are cooked, let them rest for about 5-10 minutes and cut them up into small cubes. Place in a serving bowl or plate and cover with a foil wrap if you are not using it right away.
SIDES TO SERVE THE CHICKEN TACOS WITH:
- Guacamole
- Southwest Salad
- Pico De Gallo
- Iceberg Lettuce.
- Jalapeños
- Shredded Mexican Cheddar Cheese
- Ortega Yellow Corn Taco Shells
- Ortega Flavor Craver Taco Ranch
I basically just have all the ingredients and sides separate so my family can build their own according to their preference. This is also a perfect way to serve your tacos on occasions or game day. Having many side options makes it easier to create their own perfect taco with the sides you love. You can add other sides like sour cream and hot chili peppers on the table for those extra finishing flavors.
If you want to keep the chicken warm, you can always store them in a thermos bowl, or warming servers for your occasion. I have seen a 3-section one, and it’s perfect for holidays or occasions like game day parties.
I am sure you will love and enjoy this Southwest Chicken Tacos. Ortega’s wide variety of authentic and delicious products brings a unique Mexican flavor to many recipes, adding special twist to any meal on any occasion.
