- Potatoes: Yukon gold potatoes are my favorite potato and especially for air frying. They have a buttery flavor and beautiful color.
- Seasoning: Olive oil, garlic and onion powder, paprika, and salt and pepper make the perfect seasoning blend for these crispy tots. Feel free to use a different blend of spices if you want, but don’t skip the olive oil.

How To Make Sliced Potatoes In Air Fryer
Step 1: Get set up. Preheat the Air Fryer to 390 degrees F. Wash and dry the potatoes, then peel the skin. Get a medium mixing bowl.

Step 2: Prepare the potatoes. Slice the potatoes into rounds with ¼ inch thickness and transfer them to a medium bowl.


Step 3: Season the spuds. Pour in the olive oil along with the seasonings—garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and salt. Mix well until everything comes together.


Step 4: Cook in the air fryer. Transfer the potatoes to the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 20-22 minutes until golden and crispy. (Flip the potatoes in the middle of cooking to the other side.)
Step 5: Garnish and serve. Once done, garnish the potatoes with chopped parsley and serve while they’re still warm.

Freezing: While freezing can affect texture, you can freeze air-fried potatoes in a single layer, then transfer to a sealed bag. Reheat in the air fryer or oven straight from frozen for best results.

Oven Roasting: Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Toss potato pieces with oil and seasonings. Spread them on a baking sheet in a single layer. Roast for 30-40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
Pan Frying: Heat a skillet with oil over medium-high heat. Add the potato pieces in a single layer. Fry until golden brown, flipping occasionally for even cooking.
Deep Frying: Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 350-375 degrees Fahrenheit. Fry potato pieces until golden brown and crispy.

Frequently Asked Questions
Russet or Yukon Gold potatoes are great choices for air frying, offering a fluffy interior and crispy exterior. For these sliced potatoes, I prefer Yukon golds.
Peeling potatoes is a personal preference. Leaving the skin on can add extra texture and nutrients, but feel free to peel if you prefer a smoother texture.
