- Red Onion – You can use any type of onion, but I love the bold taste of the red onions.
- Toasted Sesame Seeds. For a lovely pop of texture (optional).
For the marinade
- Great Value Garlic Teriyaki Marinade – for that salty, sweetness
- Great Value BBQ Wing Seasoning Mix – tangy and sweet.
- Great Value Extra Virgin Olive Oil – allows for the marinade to really coat the chicken
- Dash of salt – season with a sprinkle of salt to bring out all the flavors.

Can I Bake these BBQ Chicken Skewers?
You can then grill them on your BBQ grill outside or even on an indoor grill. But…..
If you don’t have any of these options or just feeling lazy, don’t worry! Grill them in your oven on broil! I do that all the time in the wintertime because I use this recipe for meal prep.
Here’s how to cook and bake them:
- 450°F Oven for 25-30 minutes. To prevent sticking, put aluminum foil on the baking sheet first.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Place the chicken skewers in the skillet and fry until the chicken is fully cooked, about 8-10 minutes per side.

- 2 cups Red Bell Peppers, Cubed, about 2 peppers
- 2 cups Yellow Bell Peppers, Cubed, about 2 peppers
- 2 cups Green Bell Peppers, Cubed, about 2 peppers
- 1 cup Purple Onion, Cubed, about 1 onion
- Toasted Sesame Seeds, for garnishing
MARINADE
- ¾ cup Great Value Garlic Teriyaki Marinade
- ¼ cup Great Value Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 tablespoons Great Value BBQ Chicken Wing Seasoning
- 1 ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon Fresh Garlic, Minced
Instructions
- Cube the fresh produce: the purple onion and bell peppers. Mince the garlic and set all of those aside.
- Cube the chicken thighs. Do not cube them too small.
- In a bowl, add the chicken cubes, the garlic teriyaki marinade, olive oil, BBQ wing seasoning, salt and minced garlic.

How do you make your rice???
I usually use 1.5 cups of water for every 1 cup of rice. I wash the rice very well as the water is boiling. Once the water boils I add 1 tbps of oil (any kind, I use canola) and add some salt and the rice. I let them cook on medium low heat until the water decreases and then I place the lid on it and cook it on low heat for like 20 minutes. If you are using Uncle Bens rice, which I used for this mealprep, I usually let it sit in hot water for 30 minutes, raise it well and then cook it. The other kinds of rice I just rainse and cook. ( usually I use basmati and jasmine rice)
Very nice I made it and it came out very tasty thanks for posting
