  • Customize the Filling: Get creative with the filling! Add ingredients like diced tomatoes, corn, black beans, or cheese to suit your taste.
  • Sprinkle with Cheese: If desired, top the stuffed peppers with grated cheese before air frying for a cheesy, golden crust.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I stuff the peppers with a different filling?

You can easily substitute ground turkey with ground chicken, beef, or vegetarian alternatives like use a plant-based meat substitute, tofu, and use vegan cheese for topping.

Can I make the stuffed peppers in advance?

Prepare the ground turkey filling mixture up to 24 hours ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator. When you’re ready to cook, simply stuff the peppers and follow the air frying instructions.

Can I make this without an air fryer?

If you don’t have an air fryer, you can bake the stuffed peppers in a 375 degrees F oven for approximately 25-30 minutes or until the peppers are tender and the cheese is melted.

How do I store and reheat Stuffed Air Fryer Bell Peppers?

Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat the peppers in the air fryer for a few minutes until warmed through. You can also use the microwave.

Can I freeze Taco Stuffed Peppers?

While it’s possible to freeze the assembled but uncooked stuffed peppers, it’s recommended to freeze the stuffing mixture separately because the peppers tend to get mushy when thawed. Thaw the stuffing mixture before stuffing fresh peppers and air frying them. This helps maintain the texture and taste of the peppers.

What to serve with Stuffed Peppers in Air Fryer?

Serve the stuffed peppers as a main course with a side of Guacamole, Salsa, or Sour Cream for dipping or as a standalone dish.
