FAQ’s
What’s the best type of pear to use?
Both anjou pears and bartlett pears and both are great but you can really go with what’s available/ripe, most pears work great! Anjou pears have a slightly thicker skin but it’s still tender so no need to peel them.
Can I use other types of cheese?
Pears LOVE cheese! Creamy, mild feta works great but you could also go with nutty parmesan, sharp gorgonzola or tart goat cheese.
Using mixed greens for this Autumn Pear Salad
I love mixed greens. I always have a box of it in my fridge almost all the time. It’s very easy to toss quick salad when you have some handy. Mixed greens are packed with nutritious vitamins.
Each serving provides a healthy dose of vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin K, folate and potassium. If you choose a blend with more spinach in them, you may also add in some extra proteins to your daily diet.
