Ingredients

  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 7 ounce stelline pasta
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground pepper
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter divided
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese divided

Instructions

  • To a medium Dutch oven, add the chicken broth and bring it to a boil.
  • Add the stelline pasta and cook for 8-9 minutes, until almost 90% done.
  • Season the pasta with salt and pepper. Add 2 tablespoons of butter, followed by 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese.
  • Once done, serve the pasta with a drizzle of the remaining melted butter and garnish with Parmesan cheese to enjoy.

Notes

    • Use fresh Parmesan cheese and good quality butter to really elevate the flavor.
    • Opt for a rich and well-seasoned broth, whether it's chicken, vegetable, or another type, to infuse the Pastina with delicious flavors.
    • Adjust the cheese and broth quantity to achieve your desired consistency.
    • Don't overcook the pastina; it should be tender but not mushy.
