Creamy homemade Sauce for Lobster Ravioli  is made from only a few simple ingredients and comes together in 20 minutes. Serve it over fresh store-bought ravioli for the a restaurant quality meal at home.

Ingredients

  • 16 ounce lobster ravioli
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 small white onion finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • ½ cup sun dried tomatoes
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground pepper
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ¼ cup low sodium chicken broth
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil chopped
  • 2 lobster tails cooked and cut into chunks

Instructions

  • Cook the lobster ravioli according to the package instructions and set it aside.
  • In a large skillet, melt the butter. Once the butter is melted, add the chopped onion and garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the tomato paste, sun-dried tomatoes, salt, pepper, and oregano. Stir in the chicken broth and cook for a couple more minutes. Add the heavy cream and bring it to a boil.
  • Using an immersion blender, blend everything together to get a creamy sauce. Allow the sauce to simmer for 2 minutes.
  • Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese into the sauce, then add the cooked ravioli and lobster chunks. Toss well. Add the chopped basil leaves and remove the skillet from the heat.
  • Serve the lobster ravioli in creamy sauce while it's still warm to enjoy.

  1. Don’t overcook the ravioli: Avoid overcooking the ravioli as it can cause the delicate pasta to fall apart.
  2. Use fresh ingredients: Fresh garlic and herbs make a noticeable difference in flavor.
  3. Blender the sauce: Using an immersion blender smooths out the sauce, giving it a restaurant-quality texture.
