Air Fryer Sweet Potato Wedges

Perfectly seasoned sweet potato wedges are air fried in under 30 minutes and topped with freshly grated parmesan cheese. They make the perfect appetizer, nutritious side dish or a satisfying snack.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium sweet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground pepper
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese grated
  • Chopped parsley garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the Air Fryer to 380 degrees F.
  • Wash and dry the potatoes with a kitchen towel.
  • Cut the sweet potatoes vertically into halves, then slice each half into 4 pieces, resulting in a total of 8 slices per potato. Repeat the same with the remaining sweet potatoes.
  • Transfer the sliced sweet potato wedges to a medium bowl. Pour in the olive oil, add paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly coated.
  • Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the wedges and toss until well coated.
  • Transfer the sweet potato wedges to the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 15-20 minutes until golden and crispy. Flip the potatoes halfway through cooking.
  • Once done, garnish the sweet potato wedges with chopped parsley and serve while they're still warm.

Notes

  • Shake/ Flip Halfway: Shaking the basket ensures even crisping on all sides.
  • Cut evenly: To ensure even cooking, make sure all wedges are roughly the same size.
  • Soak potatoes if you have time: Soaking the potatoes removes excess starch, leading to crispier wedges.
  • Avoid overcrowding: Cook in batches if needed to allow proper air circulation.
