Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lb Yukon gold potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Chopped parsley garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the Air Fryer to 390 degrees F.
  • Wash and dry the potatoes, then peel the skin.
  • Slice the potatoes into rounds with ¼ inch thickness and transfer them to a medium bowl.
  • Pour in the olive oil along with the seasonings—garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and salt. Mix well until everything comes together.
  • Transfer the potatoes to the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 20-22 minutes until golden and crispy. (Flip the potatoes in the middle of cooking to the other side.)
  • Once done, garnish the potatoes with chopped parsley and serve while they're still warm.

Notes

  • Soaking: It's recommened to soak the cut potatoes in cold water for about 30 minutes to remove excess starch. This aids in a crispier exterior.
  • Even Slicing: Aim for consistent thickness to ensure uniform cooking.
  • Preheat the Air Fryer: Allow the air fryer to preheat before adding the potatoes. This helps in achieving an even and crisp texture.
  • Avoid Overcrowding: Arrange the slices in a single layer for the best results. This allows sufficient space for air circulation. Overcrowding can lead to uneven cooking.
