Ingredients

  • 4 medium russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground pepper
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese grated
  • Chopped parsley garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the Air Fryer to 360 degrees F.
  • Wash and dry the potatoes with a kitchen towel.
  • Cut the potatoes vertically into halves, and slice again into 4 slices and a total of 8 slices in 1 potato. Repeat the same with the remaining potatoes.
  • Transfer the sliced potatoes to a medium bowl. Pour in the olive oil along with the minced garlic, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix it well until everything comes together.
  • Sprinkle the parmesan cheese and toss it until well coated on the potatoes.
  • Transfer the potatoes to the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 15 minutes until golden and crispy. (Flip the potatoes in the middle of cooking to the other side). If needed, cook an additional 5 minutes.
  • Once done, garnish the potato wedges with chopped parsley and serve while it's still warm.

Notes

  • Preheat the air fryer for best results.
  • Peeling the potatoes is optional.
  • Cut your potato into even slices, so all of the wedge fries are done at the same time.
  • Soak sliced potatoes in ice water for 30 minutes, then dry well with paper towels before frying. This draws out some starch and will make your potato wedges air fryer EXTRA crispy.
  • Cook the potatoes in a single layer so the air can circulate. Cook in batches as needed.
  • Flip the potatoes halfway through the cooking time.
  • Swap out the seasoning to give your potatoes a different flavor. If serving as a side dish, match the seasonings to those used in your main dish.
  • Add a bit of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes to give your potatoes a bit of spice.
  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, from ketchup to ranch to garlic aioli.
