Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Ingredients

  • 4 8 oz. salmon I used MOWI salmon
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • ¾ tsp. cumin powder
  • ½ tsp. black pepper fresh cracked
  • ½ tsp salt
  • olive oil spray

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400 F.
  • Mix all the spices and salt in a little bowl and then sprinkle onto the salmon to coat on all sides.
  • Transfer the salmon pieces into the air fryer and generously spray them.
  • Cook for 7-8 minutes. When the timer goes off, insert a fork into the salmon and make sure it's cooked through.
  • Remove from the air fryer, place on a dish and garnish with some fresh parsley and lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Preheat the air fryer before adding the salmon in. This helps the salmon cook faster and get a nice golden crisp on the outside.
  • Cook time can vary based on the thickness of the salmon. You can use a fork to see if it flakes off easily to check if the salmon is cooked on the inside. An instant thermometer can also be used to check the internal temperature of the salmon to make sure it's at 145°F.
  • Cut the salmon into even sized portions, with same thickness, so everything cooks out evenly.
  • Make sure the fillets don't overlap in the air fryer to prevent any moisture build up. The air needs to circulate between the salmon to give them a nice crispy exterior.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon always to add color and flavor.
