Ingredients

  • 1 pack frozen pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup alfredo sauce
  • 3 tbsps. pesto sauce
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 oz. crumbled feta cheese
  • 4 oz. mozzarella cheese
  • 1 can. artichoke hearts
  • 1/4 cup red bell pepper or pimentos
  • 1/4 cup green bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup black olives
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomato halved
  • 1/4 cup sliced onion
  • 3/4 cup sliced raw mushroom
  • 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. fresh cracked black pepper
  • Fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  • Thaw the store bought pizza dough in fridge or prepare from scratch. Roll it out and place it on a round non-stick pizza pan.
  • Create little air pockets by poking the dough with a fork and brush with olive oil. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and bake the dough until it's cooked half way through. Remove from the oven.
  • After removing the pizza dough from the oven, brush the basil pesto sauce on top. Spread some alfredo sauce and then top with the veggies and cheese. I used artichoke hearts, onions, mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, basil leaves, mushroom, pimentos or diced red bell pepper, green bell pepper, feta cheese and black olives.
  • Drizzle some olive oil, sprinkle salt and pepper, and dried oregano on the pizza.
  • Place it back in the oven and cook for another 10-15 minutes.
  • Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use a pre heated oven.
  • You can use pre made pizza dough, or make your own.
  • To help the pizza dough come out nice and bubbly, create little air pockets by poking the dough with a fork and brush with olive oil.
  • You can use a round or square pizza pan but make sure it's a non stick pan.
  • Be sure not to use a super soft kind of mozzarella cheese so you don't end up with too much water on your pizza. If that's all you have, keep an eye on the pizza and occasionally drain the excess water with paper towel.
  • Allow the Mediterranean Pizza to cool before serving.
