Air Fryer Pasta Chips

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Rigatoni pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese grated
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasonings
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped parsley to garnish

Instructions

  • Cook the pasta according to the package instructions minus 1 minute and transfer the cooked pasta to a large bowl.
  • Drizzle the olive oil and toss. Add the parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasonings, black pepper and salt. Mix until well combined.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 390 degrees F. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  • Arrange the pasta in a single layer in the air fryer basket and top with cooking spray again.
  • Air fry for 8-10 minutes until they turn crispy and golden.
  • Garnish the pasta chips with fresh parsley and serve with marinara sauce.

Notes

  • Cook the pasta 1 minute less than recommended. 
  • Drain the pasta well before proceeding with the recipe. 
  • Cook the pasta up to 2-3 days in advance and store it in the fridge. Toss the cooked pasta with a small amount of oil to prevent it from sticking together. Rinse and drain the pasta before continuing with the recipe. 
  • Toss the pasta with the oil and seasonings until all of the pasta is well coated. 
  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket. The pasta should be cooked in a single layer. 
  • Shake the air fryer basket a few times while the pasta chips cook.
