In a small bowl, bloom the active yeast with warm water. Set aside.

In the same bowl, add wet ingredients, and give it a quick mix on low speed until well combined.

Gradually add in the flour and salt. Knead for about 8 minutes all together.

Let the dough rise in a greased bowl, covered with saran wrap, until it’s double in size.

Shape the dough into individual balls. Place in a baking tray. Let it rise again.

Brush the rolls with the egg wash mixture. Bake for 20 minutes. Cool.
– Add an extra 1/4 cup of sugar into the dough mixture for sweet rolls. – You can turn these Hawaiian rolls into hamburger buns and give them extra space between them while baking.
