In a bowl, place chicken pieces. Add the spices. Toss the chicken and allow to marinate.

Add gram flour, cornstarch and baking soda to the chicken and toss. Sprinkle water until it forms a thick batter.

Heat oil in wok. Add chicken pieces and fry them for 4-5 minutes until they are golden and crispy.

Transfer the crispy chicken pakoras to a plate. Garnish with cilantro. Serve with lemon wedges and any dips.
